Barcelona are in trouble again. see!

The spanish giants just concluded a record breaking season where they matched their own personal record of winning the double three times, a record only they had achieved in spanish football, no other club has been able to achieve that feat.
The catalan club is known for their smooth, sleek tiki-taka football but with new manager Luis Enrique, the system has been a combination of a more direct and tiki-taka pattern of football. This though has helped them achieve a record breaking treble in the 2014/2015 season and a record breaking double in the just concluded 2015/2016 European season, winning the La Liga and the Copa Del Rey. Sturbbon opposition clubs who defended deep, Luis Enrique's team has always found a way to grind out results, all thanks to the direct and more precise counter-attacking football.
Nevertheless, their main aim was to repeat the treble winning campaign but that dream was shattered by their fellow Spanish rival Atleti. We could say, Diego Simeone's men know how to beat this barcelona side in the UEFA Champions League. Two times they met, 2013/2014-2015/2016 seasons, twice they have been eliminated from the competition all on away goal rule.

However, Barcelona has always looked suspect in their defence irrespective that they have the strong and ever present duo of Javier Mascherano and Gerard Pique as center back pairings, the flexible, mobile Brazilian fullback Dani Alves and the speedy dimunitive spaniard Jordi Alba.
The season has ended, Dani Alves and MAscherano has decided to leave the club; with age not on their sides, Dani and Mascherano are in their 30s, they feel its time to call it quit to have a bit of fresh air, better still ply their trade somewhere they can retire without much pressure in a less demanding situation.

According to cardena ser, Dani Alves have closed his transfer details with Juventus for the next three seasons, he might leave for a free according to his recent contract with Fc Barcelona, which allows him to sign for another club between June 5.
"I can not guarantee if I would stay or not", the Brazilian said this week during an event. some reports suggest that after the Copa Del Rey final, the player had told his teammates that he would be leaving for the Old Ladies. However, if Alves leaves, it would save the club a sum of 8 million pounds as next season economic balances and finacial play would be taken to account.

Mascherano on the other hand is aware the club is looking for a younger center back to partner Pique in defence, for this reason, he knows he would loose prominence and playing time. Moreover, Mascherano has never hidden that he wants to play in defensive midfield but with Busquets not getting worn-out anytime soon, coupled with his consistent performance and importance to the club, it won't be possible. Except maybe incase of long-term injuries or something more dangerous.
It seems Juventus has a thing for retiree and experience because according to reports, they have sounded out Javier Mascherano and has promised him a bumper deal bigger and better than what Barca offers. They also promised him the defensive midfield position. "The Serie A is an attractive league, I've always admired their playing style, I would want to try out my experience there someday", Mascherano said during a charity programme in Barcelona.

Moreover, if he left spain, he would also avoid further problems with the treasury. In lieu to that, Juventus has to negotiate with Barca, and the blaugrana club don't want the player to leave as he is considered one of the vital players of luis Enrique's schemes.
With the departure of Marc Batra and possibly Thomas Vermaelen, this looks impossible.
So, Juve, look elsewhere, this might do you in.
