After surviving a terrible car accident and being hospitalized, Chika Ike has transformed completely to a more community service oriented personality. The realization that life comes calling and remains entrusted to a person only as a temporary privilege for a short span is making her actively engage in more community work to support the less privileged in the society.
So during this year’s children day celebrations on May 27th, Chika hosted over 3000 kids to a lavish party of merriment. Themed “Educate a Child”, the UN Ambassador/actresses handed out over 3000 customized gifts to the children including schoolbags, math sets, notebooks, t-shorts, lunch boxes and snacks.
Speaking at the event, Chika expressed her passion for kids, her gratitude of the gift of life, and a desire to make the event recurrent.
